Fire Barrels

Fire Barrels for Rent:
Fires are only allowed in fire barrels, which must be placed 12 inches above the ground. We appreciate those of you who bring your own fire barrels, but if you don’t have one, you can rent one from us at the registration tent.
  • Rental Fee: $20.00 per week/weekend.
  • Deposit: $10.00, which will be refunded when you return your fire barrel and any unused wood.
Each rented fire barrel comes with a small amount of firewood to help you get started.
Firewood:
If you need firewood, you can purchase it from us. However, if you plan to have a fire every night, we recommend you bring some of your own wood, as we don’t have a large supply.
If you bring firewood onto the property, please take any leftover wood home with you--we do not want it left behind for our staff to clean up.

Ashes and Fire Remains:
After your fire, please dispose of all ashes and remains in the designated ash barrels located near the large garbage containers at the North end of fields G and B.
Important: Do not throw ashes in the garbage containers, fields, trees, or ditches. We have had fires start from people improperly disposing of ashes..

Clean-Up Reminder:
Please make sure to take everything you bring onto the property home with you. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the area clean and safe!

We have 8 “Water Buffalo” tanks placed around the property for use. Each tank holds 275 gallons and is filled with Mountain View city water.
Please be sure to bring your own water, as we can’t supply everyone with "all" of their water needs. We’ll do our best to keep the tanks filled, but they’re meant to help supplement what you bring.
If you’re arriving with a trailer or RV, please come with your water tanks already full. We’re not able to fill trailers on-site since the ranch runs on a well and is not connected to city water.

Garbage

Two large commercial-size garbage containers are located at the north end of Fields G and B for your garbage. We try to make one or two runs through the fields each day, beginning Thursday afternoon, to pick up garbage because we know it can be difficult to maneuver through the fields with so many campsites. Please remove your own garbage from your camping area when you leave and place it in either of the two large commercial containers provided. You will drive right past one of them on your way out.

We have 24 Porta Johns spread throughout the property.  We clean them every morning and night. If you find that one of them is being neglected or mistreated, please let one of us know.  We will be happy to take care of it.  You can set an appointment to have the pumper come to your trailer and pump out your black tank during the Rendezvous, once he is done taking care of the Porta Johns.

The local Sheriffs Department will ride through our property several times a day. For any emergency, please call 911 or talk with one of these men on horses.  If your emergency can be addressed by one of our staff, please don't hesitate to contact one of us and we will do all we can to help you.
